LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — As deadly flooding impacts the Commonwealth, members of the Lexington Fire Department (LFD) have answered the call to help their neighbors.
Since Mayor Linda Gorton’s emergency declaration on Friday,
Firefighters reportedly used a mobile ambulance bus to move the patients out of the facility.
“At the same time, we continue to support response efforts in Western Kentucky, with seven firefighters still deployed and ready for potential swiftwater rescue operations,” the LFD wrote.
Pendleton County Emergency Management told residents living in Butler or Falmouth to evacuate by the end of Saturday. Anyone remaining in those areas in need of shelter was asked to call (859) 654-6540 for accommodations.
