Scattered rain, snow showers continue Friday afternoon, then clearing for warmer weekend

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Happy Friday, Utah! After a fairly quiet start, isolated rain and snow showers are once again popping up across the Beehive state. Plan on periods of rain and snow showers through early this evening before things begin to dry out.

High temperatures will remain below normal with highs only in the upper 40s to low 50s. Morning lows will dip down into the upper 20s to lower 30s along the Wasatch Front. For SW Utah, look for highs to be in the 60s with overnight lows in the upper 30s through Saturday.

This weekend, the overall pattern is for drier and warmer conditions. Highs will warm into the upper 50s to low 60s across the Wasatch Front this weekend, with highs in the 70s for SW Utah. Things will dry out by late week, leading to mostly sunny and comfy conditions for our weekend outlook. Next week will feature a high pressure ridge nosing in from the east. This not only brings the much drier trend to the forecast, but it also will bring the return of more spring-like temperatures.

Highs by the middle of next week will climb to about 10-15° above average. This will mean highs in the mid-to-upper 60s across the Wasatch Front, and highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s for SW Utah. By the mid-to-latter half of next week, highs will warm into the upper 70s for the Wasatch Front and around 90° for SW Utah!

Stay tuned! We’ll keep you posted on the latest information in our 4Warn Weather forecast both on-air and online, we are Good4Utah!
