I-65 reopens in Boone County following crash with ejection

BOONE COUNTY, Ind. — A crash brought traffic to a standstill for several hours in the north and southbound lanes of Interstate 65 in Boone County Friday evening.

According to the INDOT Traffic Management Center, all lanes on I-65 NB and SB were closed around 5:15 p.m. near mile marker 135.5 due to a crash involving an ejection.

INDOT confirmed in an update around 6:40 p.m. that all of the southbound lanes had reopened. The Boone County Sheriff’s Office reported around 7:15 p.m. that all northbound lanes had also reopened.

FOX59/CBS4 is working to learn more about this crash, including how many vehicles may have been involved or if any individuals were injured.
