Car crash leaves vehicle overturned, on fire in South Rockford

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Rockford Police responded to Rockford’s South side for a car crash that left one vehicle rolled over and on fire Friday night.

Officers responded to Brooke Road and Bildahl Street for the collision. One person was treated for minor injuries, according to police.

Authorities asked the public to avoid the area as they clear the scene. Nearby residents said their power was down due to the crash.

Power is expected to be back on by 1:30 a.m., according to ComEd.

All lanes are currently blocked, according to police.
