More windy weather, severe threat late Saturday

Windy, very warm, and muggy weather continues for Acadiana this Thursday. Highs near the mid 80s after starting in the mid 70s during the morning hours. Southerly winds will gust around 20 to 35 mph throughout the day. More of the same is expected on Friday.

Heavy showers and storms look likely late Saturday into Sunday morning. There is an elevated risk for severe weather as storms could produce damaging winds, large hail, or tornadoes. We are still pinpointing timing and impacts for the area.
