Officials said the winds brought down trees and limbs, causing widespread outages. As of 8:00 a.m. on April 3, 10,300 customers were without power.
Entergy officials said customers should prepared for more outages and flexible restoration times as wind gusts continue throughout Thursday, and severe weather threatens the service area into the weekend. As damage assessors continue to identify damaged equipment, restoration times will be updated on our outage map online.
Entergy restoration workers cannot restore power to a location with a damaged meter base, conduit or weather head. These items must be repaired by a qualified electrician before Entergy workers can restore power.
Customers should stay away from downed lines and report them immediately by calling 1-800-9OUTAGE or 1-800-968-8243, and your local police station or fire department.
