TVU Networks, a global provider of cloud and IP-based live video solutions, has named John Wastcoat senior director of partner development. With more than two decades of experience forging and scaling high-impact alliances in the media technology space, Wastcoat joins TVU as the company “accelerates its transformation into a platform-first partner ecosystem.”
He brings a proven track record of building strategic alliances. Most recently, at Zixi, he successfully developed a broad global ecosystem of OEMs, technology partners, and resellers, delivering a broad set of complementary services to the customer base. Previously, at Aspera, he expanded the partner community to include over 500 integrated offerings and alliances — including partnerships with Amazon, Microsoft, Akamai and Telstra- significantly fueling the company’s trajectory prior to its acquisition by IBM and contributed to post-acquisition success.
“TVU has always believed in the power of partnerships to drive meaningful change in our industry,” said Mike Cronk, TVU Networks VP of strategy. “In the past year, we’ve witnessed how powerful that can be — supporting industry-first, award-winning cloud workflows for global events like the Games in Paris and the U.K. elections. Building on that momentum and TVU’s strong history of collaboration, this marks a new phase—one where we’re expanding the opportunities for partners to build on TVU’s cloud platform and unlock greater success together.”
Wastcoat will be attending the NAB Show (April 6-9, Las Vegas Convention Center), where TVU will showcase its latest innovations and partner-enablement initiatives in Booth W2120.
