Suspect fires shot during Family Dollar robbery in Jackson

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police are searching for a suspect after a Family Dollar was robbed.

The incident occurred at the store on Siwell Road on Tuesday, April 1.

Detective Tommie Brown, with the Jackson Police Department (JPD), said a man came into the store and demanded the money. The suspect fired a shot into the floor, but no one was injured.

Brown said the suspect took money from the Family Dollar and ran away from the scene.
