The Illinois Commerce Commission approved the funding to be dispersed by ComEd over a three-year period.
The program will include incentives for medium- and heavy-duty fleet vehicles, school and transit buses, and residential charging equipment.
The plan includes a consumer awareness blitz, incentives earmarked for customers in low-income neighborhoods, and fleet assessments to identify businesses that would save money by switching to electric vehicles.
