Runaway fugitive found with “trafficking-level” amounts of illegal narcotics

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — A manhunt in Hopkins County that began less than a week ago has come to a close. Authorities say Jonathan Ruby has been located and taken into custody.

As previously reported, Kentucky State Police and the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office were attempting to locate Ruby after he allegedly fled on foot following a vehicle collision.

According to the Madisonville Police Department, a credible tip on Ruby’s whereabouts led to his arrest.

We’re told Ruby is also facing drug-related charges in addition to his outstanding warrants. It is said officers discovered “trafficking-level” quantities of illegal narcotics during his arrest.

Ruby was booked in the Hopkins County Detention Center and faces new charges including:

• Trafficking in Marijuana
• Trafficking in Controlled Substance
• Possession of Synthetic Drugs
• Theft of Identity of Another Without Consent
• Drug Paraphernalia
