NAB Show: TVU Networks Partners With Insync Technology To Deliver Frame Rate And Deinterlacing Conversion At Scale In The Cloud

TVU Networks, a provider of live video production and cloud-based media solutions, announced a strategic partnership with video processing technology provider InSync Technology. As part of this partnership, InSync’s FrameFormer has been natively integrated into TVU MediaHub to provide advanced motion-compensated frame rate, deinterlacing, and standards conversion capabilities for broadcasters and content distributors.

TVU MediaHub, TVU’s scalable and universal IP video routing solution, now offers FrameFormer as an optional feature directly within its user interface. TVU says that “with a simple checkbox activation, customers can enable FrameFormer’s powerful suite of video enhancement tools—ensuring exceptional video quality for demanding live sports productions and other high-end content. This includes robust deinterlacing for interlaced source material, a critical need in today’s market where legacy broadcast signals remain prevalent.”

“Our partnership with InSync Technology strengthens TVU MediaHub’s ability to deliver high-quality content in any format, from anywhere, to everywhere,” said Paul Shen, TVU Networks CEO. “FrameFormer’s industry-leading motion-compensated frame blending and deinterlacing ensure smooth and precise video processing, making it an essential addition for broadcasters seeking the highest video quality standards.”

FrameFormer is widely recognized for its advanced motion-compensated frame blending technology, delivering superior results when converting between frame rates — such as 50fps to 60fps — and seamlessly handling interlaced video. “By addressing both frame rate and deinterlacing needs, FrameFormer provides a comprehensive solution ideal for sports coverage, where fast camera movements and intricate details can otherwise result in choppy or unnatural video,” the company says.

“TVU MediaHub offers a market leading flexible routing platform, capable of handling virtually any input and output format,” said James Taylor, InSync Technology CEO. “By embedding FrameFormer directly within MediaHub, media organizations can now achieve the highest-quality frame rate and deinterlacing conversion as part of their cloud-based workflow, eliminating the need for additional hardware.”

TVU Networks and InSync Technology will showcase the integrated solution at the NAB Show (April 6-9, Las Vegas Convention Center) in Booth 2120.
