Shreveport Fire Department responds to house fire in south Shreveport

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – The Shreveport Fire Department was dispatched to the 300 block of Robbins Place following reports of a house fire.

“Upon arrival at approximately 4:02 p.m., Engine 22 arrived and reported a two-story, wood frame structure which was fully involved with visible smoke and flames,” a press release stated. “Firefighters immediately initiated an offensive attack inside the structure to suppress the flames but quickly switched to a defensive attack as the conditions worsened.”

The SFD says 12 units were dispatched to the incident, including Caddo Fire District 5 for mutual aid response to assist in firefighting operations. No injuries were reported during the incident, and the fire is currently under investigation to determine the cause and origin.
