According to a release, Engine 8 arrived on scene within 4 minutes and reported heavy smoke and flames visible from the front of the home. It took the efforts of 10 fire units and 30 firefighters to bring the incident under control at 12:34 a.m.
The residents were not home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.

St. was dispatched at 1:07 a.m.
SFD says Medic 4 arrived on scene within 4 minutes and reported heavy smoke and flames from the rear and roof of the single-story home.
Ten fire crews were able to bring the incident under control within 20 minutes.
No residents were at home during the time of the incident and no injuries have been reported.
Both fires remain under investigation by Shreveport Fire Arson Investigators to determine
the origin and cause.
