Rockford teens charged with armed robbery of pizza delivery driver

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Two Rockford teens have been arrested for the armed robbery of a pizza delivery driver Friday night.

Rockford Police said officers were called to the 2200 block of Martha Avenue around 9:55 p.m. on Friday, March 28th, for the reported robbery.

A K9 was brought in to sniff for the suspects, who were found at a house in the 2200 block of Lucille Street, police said.

Officers with Rockford Police’s Specialized Community Oriented Police Enforcement (SCOPE) team found evidence from the robbery and ammunition during the investigation.

A 17-year-old male was charged with Aggravated Robbery and No Valid Firearm Owner’s Identification.

A 16-year-old male was charged with Aggravated Robbery.

Both teens were booked into the Winnebago County Juvenile Detention Center.
