Reading Fightin Phils to convert FirstEnergy Stadium to cashless

(WHTM) — The Reading Fightin Phils have announced that FirstEnergy Stadium will transition to cashless, beginning with the 2025 season.

The Fightin Phils’ website says fans can use credit cards, debit cards, or Apple Pay for all purchases at concession stands, bars, the team story, and other points of sale at FirstEnergy Stadium this season.

The site says fans who only brought cash and do not have an electronic form of payment can visit the Heck Residential Customer Service Booth in exchange for an R-Phils Gift Card. If the full value of the gift card is not used while at the game, fans can return to the booth to exchange the remaining balance for cash.

The site notes that the cashless conversion will greatly improve the fans’ experience by decreasing line wait times and allowing them to return to their seats quicker so they miss less of the action.
