We’ll see a mix of clouds and sun for this afternoon with highs in the mid-80s. Southerly winds will be in the 8-16 mph range as low pressure moves to our north. Some isolated storms could pop up as close as central Louisiana, but it appears any severe weather threat will remain to our north for today.
By tomorrow morning, a few storms will be working southward into the region via a cool front. High-resolution models differ in their solutions regarding the amount of storm coverage we receive across Acadiana.
I’ll put storm chances at around 30-40%, but it’s possible most of the storm action stays to our north. Any storms that do develop have the chance to be strong-to-severe, with gusty winds and rotation.
The front moves through the area late Monday, giving us a northerly wind briefly. A warm front lifts back north on Tuesday, bringing back south winds and warming us up into the lower 80s.
Even warmer weather for the middle and end of the week with highs in the mid-80s each afternoon under a mix of clouds and sun.
