TAMUT add beach competitive beach volleyball courts

TEXARKANA, Texas (KTAL/KMSS)—Texas A&M University-Texarkana continues to add new features to its campus. On Thursday, they held a ribbon-cutting for new beach volleyball competition courts.

The beach volleyball team is in its first year and is already seeing success. They say these new courts will be a big help by making it easier to train and allowing the home fans to cheer them on.

“People can bring lawn chairs, bring blankets, music plays the entire time. It’s more of a lax, you know, atmosphere for spectators, but it’s really intense for the girls while they’re playing. It’s a whole different immersive, experience for everybody. It’s a really good time.” says TAMUT Volleyball Coach Madeleine Halford.

Their next games will be during the TAMUT Tournament on April 4th and 5th.
