1 critical after shooting on Indy’s east side

INDIANAPOLIS – An investigation is underway after a person was critically injured in a shooting on Indy’s east side Friday night.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, just after 11:30 p.m., officers responded to the 3000 block of North Webster Avenue on the report of a person shot.

When officers arrived, they located an individual with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound. They were reported to be in critical condition, according to police.

No additional information was released. The incident remains under investigation.
