Man critical after shooting on Indy’s east side

INDIANAPOLIS – An investigation is underway after a man was critically injured in a shooting on Indy’s east side Saturday morning.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, just after 2 a.m., officers were called to the 3700 block of North Chester Avenue on the report of a person shot.

When officers arrived, they located an adult male who had been shot. He was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.

No additional information was released.
