Khloe Somerville, 16, and Natalie Nelson-Craft, 15, are believed to be in the Shreveport area, according to a missing juvenile bulletin issued by Louisiana State Police.
Khloe is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing 115 lbs., with long black hair and blue eyes.
Natalie is described as 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing 135 lbs., with short red hair and brown eyes.
Police said the girls stole Natalie’s father’s car, a dark gray 2020 Kia Optima with Louisiana license plate number 302 HHV. The car was last seen on I-20 in Princeton, authorities said.
News 10 spoke with their parents about where they may have been headed and what to lookout for to bring the teens home.
“I don’t know why she left. We didn’t have a fight or anything,” Adam Nelson, Natalie’s dad, said.
According to the teens’ parents, Khloe was spending the night at Natalie’s home in Lafayette Saturday. Around 11 p.m., Natalie’s father noticed his car, a dark gray 2020 Kia Optima, was missing along with the girls.
Adam Nelson believes the girls drove to Shreveport to meet Natalie’s boyfriend to deliver birthday presents.
“I think that was the original plan, and then when she found out the police were involved, she decided to just go and run. I don’t know why,” Nelson said.
Nelson says while both girls turned off their phone’s locations, Natalie’s phone last pinged in Shreveport.
Ashly Somerville, Khloe Somerville’s stepmother, said cameras last picked up their location on I-20 headed out of Shreveport at 5:24 a.m. Sunday.
“We want them home,” Somerville said. “I don’t understand why they’re still gone. I just don’t understand.”
Both parents say neither Natalie nor Khloe took clothes with them. It’s been more than four days now that neither parent has heard from their girls.
“Please don’t think you’re in trouble. Please,” Somerville said. “We love you, and we just want you home. Your sisters miss you. We miss you. Your dad is out looking for you right now. Your mom is out looking for you right now, sweetheart.”
“Please come home. That’s all I want,” Nelson said. “Come home safe, and that’s it. That’s all I care about. We’LL figure out everything else after that.”
Anyone with information on the location of the girls is asked to call Lafayette Police at 337-291-8600 or 337-291-8647.
“I want everyone to be on the lookout for these girls because they have to be somewhere,” Somerville said. “Someone has to have seen them.”
