Investigator Tyler Burnell, with the Rankin County Sheriff’s Office, said deputies executed a search warrant at a home on Bishop Lane south of Florence around 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 26.
Burnell said the sheriff’s office had been conducting an investigation since 2024 into allegations of fraud and employee corruption at a small business in Rankin County. He said the evidence and information obtained during the investigation identified multiple instances of fraud perpetrated by Sherri Sims Kimbrow, 54.
Kimbrow was arrested during the execution of the search warrant and transported to the Rankin County Detention Center. She is being held on $5,000 bond.
