Shreveport police investigating shots fired incident

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — Police are investigating after receiving reports of shots fired in Shreveport.

The incident happened on Tuesday, March 25, on Hollywood Avenue and Linwood Avenue. Police reported that a victim called to say he was leaving a store when he saw two individuals coming from a wooded area carrying what he described as a rifle. The victim then retrieved his firearm and fired shots at the two individuals while driving away.

Police stated that the man called them afterward, but they could not locate the two individuals. As a precaution, officers began clearing the area to check if the two individuals were nearby and potentially suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers are still working with the man who called them to determine exactly what happened.
