Fire damages MH residence, destroys vehicle; no injuries reported

A Tuesday morning fire in northwestern Mountain Home damaged a residence and destroyed a vehicle in the garage. No injuries were reported from the blaze at 508 Ascension Drive.

According to a report from the Mountain Home Fire Department, an alarm came in just before 10 of a car fire inside a garage. Personnel arrived at the residence owned by Elizabeth Neveau and discoverd the garage was on a second level under the home.





Fourteen personnel were on the scene for over two hours with two engine companies, a ladder company, a rescue unit and two support vehicles. The residence ended up with 50% fire damage and 100% smoke damage.

The cause of the fire is currently undetermined.
