West Town restaurants damaged during break-ins

CHICAGO — Police are investigating after two restaurants were broken into early Tuesday morning in Chicago’s West Town neighborhood.

According to police, officers responded to a call in the 1500 block of West Chicago around 3 a.m. and found the front door of a Fry the Coop smashed. Money was missing from the register.

Around the same time and nearby in the 600 block of North Ashland Avenue, officer responded to a call and found a smashed door at a Bartoli’s Pizza.

No word on if money was missing from that location.
