The incident occurred on Lilly Circle in Moss Point on Saturday, March 22. Police said a group of females began fighting at the location.
According to investigators, a large crowd gathered, and the victim, 23-year-old Demond Tayveion Ross, was beaten by several people as he tried to break up the fight. Police said Ross was also struck by a vehicle when another assault victim was trying to flee the scene.
Police arrested Roy Reeves, Jr., 26; Rubbey Reeves, 45; and Joseph Carson, 35. The three suspects were charged with aggravated assault, but the charges could be upgraded pending autopsy results for Ross.
