MONROE, La. (KTVE/KARD) — On Monday, March 24, 2025, the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Jarrod B. McBroom of Monroe, La. was arrested and charged with Crime Against Nature.
During the investigation, officials interviewed a juvenile victim and learned that McBroom allegedly sexually assaulted the victim multiple times, and the most recent assault was “four weekends ago” at his home. According to authorities, they were advised that the victim woke up at 4 AM as McBroom was attempting to sexually assault them.
According to authorities, McBroom allegedly filmed himself on his cell phone during the sexual abuse incidents. McBroom was accused of advising the victim not to tell anyone of the assault. Authorities went on to learn that the victim’s sibling may have also experienced sexual abuse by McBroom.
McBroom has been booked at the Ouachita Correctional Center, where his bond was set at $300,000.
