Fly and tour historic WWII aircraft at Shreveport Downtown Airport

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Do not miss a unique opportunity to see and ride aboard historic World War II aircraft at Shreveport Downtown Airport.

Tubreaux Aviation is putting on this event featuring two historic aircraft.

The C-47A Skytrain troop transport That’s All, Brother led the Allies’ main airborne invasion over Normandy on D-Day, June 6, 1944.

The B-25 Mitchell bomber Yellow Rose was similar to the bombers flying in the Doolittle Raid over Tokyo in April 1942.

Visitors can tour and fly on That’s All, Brother, and Yellow Rose.  

Aircraft Tours donation is $10 per adult or $20 per family. Active Duty (in uniform), WWII, and Korean War Veterans are FREE. Living history flight experience rides in That’s All, Brother is $269 per passenger, and Yellow Rose is $449 to $649 per passenger.

Aircraft tours are Tuesday & Wednesday, March 25 & 26, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Aircraft rides are Thursday, March 27, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Flights are approximately 30 minutes long and may be purchased in advance online. Shreveport Downtown Airport is located at 1550 Airport Drive.
