Crowley Police investigated two related reports of shots fired Wednesday night. The first, at a bar on North Parkerson Avenue, was the result of an altercation in which a man brandished a gun. The gunman’s mother then convinced the man to leave the premises. As he drove away, he fired several shots into the air, investigators said.
The second report came five minutes later in the 1000 block of E. Ash Street, where police said they found the mother in the same vehicle with a gunshot wound to the back of the head. Her son was not in the vehicle, but had left the scene on foot, officials said.
The identities of neither the victim nor the suspect were released. The victim’s condition is unknown.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call Crowley Police at 337-783-1234.
