IMPD: Almost 75 pounds of drugs seized during searches of 2 homes
INDIANAPOLIS — Officers with the north district of the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department seized almost 75 pounds of drugs during searches of two homes on Wednesday, leading to two arrests.
According to a news release posted on IMPD’s social media, 44-year-old Timothy Powell and 39-year-old Anthony Milian were taken into custody on Wednesday as a result of a reported months-long investigation. The two individuals were preliminarily charged with:
Possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon
Dealing cocaine
Possession of cocaine
Resisting law enforcement
Possession of marijuana
Milian

Dealing methamphetamines
Possession of methamphetamines
Possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon
Dealing cocaine
Possession of cocaine
The release said that IMPD conducted searches of two homes on Wednesday in relation to an investigation that began in December 2024.
In the searches of a home in the 7700 block of Mountain Stream Way and a home in the 8500 block of Faywood Drive, the following items were reportedly recovered and seized:

71.6 pounds of methamphetamines
2.16 pounds of cocaine
27.36 grams of marijuana
178 grams of heroin/fentanyl
15 Oxycodone pills
Four firearms, including one shotgun, one rifle and two handguns
Three vehicles, including a 2014 Chevy Impala, a 2023 GMC Yukon and a 2019 Dodge Durango
$7,480 in U.S. currency

“These arrests are a significant step in keeping our community safe,” IMPD North District Commander Matt Thomas said in the release. “The amount of meth and firearms seized is staggering, and it’s a clear indication of the dangerous individuals we’re working to remove from our streets. Our officers are committed to targeting those involved in crimes which can lead to violence. I am very proud of all the work officers and detectives put into this investigation and appreciate the collaborative efforts from many units involved.”
The release said that the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office will make the final charging decision in this case.
