Driver ejected in fatal crash near Breckenridge

STEPHENS COUNTY, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – A fatal crash in Stephens County claimed the life of a Breckenridge man late Tuesday night.

Emergency crews responded to the single-vehicle crash on FM 2231, about 2.5 miles southeast of Breckenridge, at 11:53 p.m. on March 18.

According to the preliminary report, the driver was traveling at an unsafe speed when he entered a curve, lost control, and veered off the highway. The vehicle overturned, ejecting the driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt.

Roger Dale Yoes, 38, of Breckenridge, Texas, was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities reported clear and dry road conditions at the time of the crash.
