Emergency crews responded to the single-vehicle crash on I-20, about 2.6 miles east of Ranger, at 10:30 p.m. on March 17.
According to the preliminary report, the driver of the pickup truck veered off the north side of the road, striking a guardrail and a concrete bridge barrier before the vehicle fell into Russel Creek.
Cameron Bernard Murray, 37, of Garland, Texas, was later pronounced dead at the hospital. Authorities reported that the road conditions were clear and dry, and the driver was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
