According to Chicago police, 36-year-old Andre Moses, an East Garfield Park resident, has been charged with one count of armed robbery with a firearm and one count of robbery of a victim with a handicap or over the age of 60.
The felony charges stem from an armed holdup that officers say allegedly unfolded in the 600 block of North Laramie Avenue, on Monday, Feb. 10.
Officers said Moses allegedly approached and robbed a 67-year-old man at gunpoint.
Moses evaded capture for several weeks but was eventually tracked down by police and members of the U.S. Marshals Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force on Tuesday.
Moses appeared in court on Wednesday for a detention hearing.
