Another PennDOT REAL ID Day is happening next week: what you need to know

(WPHL) — With less than two months until the May 7 federal enforcement deadline, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is holding another ‘REAL ID Day’ on Monday, March 24. The special days are designed to help Pennsylvanians obtain the identification card if they want one.

According to PennDOT, the events have been popular with residents, claiming more than 5,000 people assisted at previous REAL ID Days.

The March 24 REAL ID Days will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the following centers:

  • Johnstown Driver License Center: 563 Walters Avenue, Johnstown, PA 15904 (Cambria County)
  • Huntingdon Driver License Center: 9048 William Penn Highway, Huntingdon, PA 16652 (Huntingdon County)
  • New Castle Driver License Center: 973 Old Youngstown Road, New Castle, PA 16101 (Lawrence County)
  • Lehigh Valley Driver License Center: 1710 Hoover Avenue, Allentown, PA 18109 (Lehigh County)
  • Whitman Plaza Driver License Center: 330 West Oregon Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19142 (Philadelphia County)
  • Wellsboro Driver License Center: 40 Plaza Lane, Wellsboro, PA 16901 (Tioga County)

The remaining days will be held on April 7, April 14, April 28, and May 5. Click here for the full list from PennDOT.

Beginning May 7, 2025, a REAL ID, a valid passport, or a military ID will be required for domestic air travel or to enter certain federal buildings.
