Man dies in crash on I-55 in Holmes County

HOLMES COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – A man was killed during a crash in Holmes County.

The crash occurred on Interstate 55 near the Durant exit around 6:45 p.m. on Saturday, March 15.

Officials with the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) said a 1999 Toyota Tacoma was traveling south on I-55 when it went off the road and collided with a cable barrier.

The driver, William Snell, 62, of Sallis, received fatal injuries from the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation by MHP.
