Crews to begin emergency repairs on water main in Shreveport

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — The Department of Water and Sewage in Shreveport will begin emergency repairs Sunday (March 16) on a water main at the West Shreveport Branch of Shreve Memorial Library on Pines Road.

Residents and businesses in the area may experience temporary water service interruptions or reduced water pressure while crews complete the repairs. The field operations team will be replacing a valve at the library, which involves isolating the 16-inch water main and temporarily shutting off the water. Work is scheduled to start tonight at 10:00 p.m. and is expected to be completed by early Monday morning (March 17). All repairs will take place within the Western Pressure Zone.

If you experience water issues or have questions, you can call 318-673-7600 or visit http://www.shreveportlawater.gov
