SHENANDOAH – Ahead of the Saint Patrick’s Day holiday, a local bagpiper helped spread Irish cheer across the region recently, including a stop in Shenandoah.
The Sentinel was there when Todd Jones stopped by Vernalis Restaurant in town Thursday performing traditional tunes.
Of Ashland, Jones is also a member of the Hawk Mountain Highlanders.
Jones is making the rounds across Schuylkill and surrounding counties, stopping by multiple Boyer’s Food Markets locations on Wednesday, including in Shenandoah, Ashland, and Frackville.
Thursday’s stops included Vernalis Restaurant, Boyer’s locations in Lykens and Pine Grove, and the Tremont Nursing Center.
He will be back in Shenandoah Monday, stopping by the Shenandoah Manor Nursing Center and the Ridgeview Healthcare Center in Shenandoah Heights.
