Danone, the distributor, issued a voluntary recall on some International Delight coffee creamers on Feb. 21 following reports of potential spoilage and illness related to the products’ use.
The FDA initiated a Class II recall on Wednesday.
“Class II recalls are issued for products that have a lower chance of causing serious injuries or death, but where there is still the potential for significant adverse events with irreversible consequences,” reads the FDA’s page on recall classifications.

The creamers were distributed to Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio
Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
