Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office arrests multiple on various charges

LEESVILLE, La. (WNTZ) – Sheriff Sam Craft of the Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office (VPSO) has announced several recent arrests.

March 12, 2025

  • Carlos Mauricio Rivera, 34, of North Richland Hills, Texas, was arrested on an out-of-jurisdiction bench warrant. Bond has not been set, and he remains in the VPSO jail.
  • Donald Lynn Stockemer Jr., 56, of Anacoco, was arrested on an out-of-jurisdiction bench warrant from Jasper, Texas. Bond has not been set, and Stockemer remains in the VPSO jail awaiting extradition to Jasper County.

March 13, 2025

  • Kirby J. Banks, 38, of Lafayette, was arrested and charged with one count of violation of a protective order. Bond has not been set, and Banks remains in the VPSO jail.
