Suspects in Grambling State University on-campus shooting have been arrested, officials say

GRAMBLING, La. (KTVE/KARD) — On Friday, March 14, 2025, around 11:13 AM, Grambling State University Police Department confirmed that three suspects in the alleged on-campus shooting that occurred on March 12, 2025, have been arrested. According to officials, Norris Kelly and J’Quarrius Brown were arrested on March 12, 2025, and Travonte Spears was arrested on March 13, 2025.

On Wednesday, March 12, 2025, Grambling State University officials reported a shooting near Bethune Hall, forcing officials to place the university on a lockdown until 4:04 PM. According to officials, no injuries were reported.
