NBA player and Philadelphia native Daeqwon Plowden honored by Mastery Charter

PHILADELPHIA (WPHL) — An NBA player from Philadelphia came back home to see his jersey being retired at the school he used to play in.

Atlanta Hawks player Daeqwon Plowden made an appearance at the Mastery Charter school in Germantown to see his #25 being retired and displayed at the basketball court he used to play.

The shooting guard says he is thankful for the school helping him become the person he is today.

Plowden was Mastery’s first 1,000-point scorer when he graduated in 2017.
