Authorities searching for 3 suspects in Grambling State University isolated gun incident

GRAMBLING, La. (KTVE/KARD) — According to reports, the Grambling State University Police Department has obtained arrest warrants for Travonte Spears, Norris Kelly, and J’Quarrius Brown for their alleged involvement in an isolated firearms-related incident that occurred on campus.

On Wednesday, March 12, 2025, Grambling State University officials reported an isolated firearms-related incident near Bethune Hall, forcing officials to place the university on a lockdown until 4:04 PM. According to officials, no injuries were reported.

We are committed to maintaining a secure campus environment and will continue working closely with Chief Rodney Demery, GSUPD, and our law enforcement partners to bring these individuals into custody.
