New equipment boosts readiness for Louisiana National Guard medical units

PINEVILLE, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – The Louisiana National Guard’s State Medical Command has received some new equipment that LANG says will help soldiers stay ready across the state.

According to Sgt. Danny Hough, with Louisiana National Guard Public Affairs, select commands and companies within LANG received five electrocardiographs, a state-of-the-art vaccine and medical refrigerator, and additional critical care equipment at the LANG Training Center in Pineville, Louisiana on February 19.

Sgt. Hough says the new equipment will help soldiers in our state provide essential medical support to domestic response operations and deployed environments.

Louisiana National Guard’s State Medical Command, 756th Medical Company Area Support (139th Regional Support Group), 199th Brigade Support Battalion (256 Infantry Brigade Combat Team), and 204th Theater Airfield Operations Group received the new medical equipment.
