Firefighters tackle garage, brush fire in Fountain Springs

FOUNTAIN SPRINGS – Firefighters from Schuylkill and Northumberland counties responded to a garage fire Tuesday afternoon near here.

Crews were called to 409 Malones Road around 5pm for a reported structure fire.

They arrived to find a garage fire which had caught brush on fire as well.

Firefighters from across northern Schuylkill and southern Northumberland counties responded and made quick work of the blaze.

Responders included units from Englewood, Ashland, Girardville, Shenandoah, Kulpmont, Frackville, Gordon, and more.

No injuries were reported.
