Officers say they pulled over a Dodge Ram on Interstate 5 north of State Route 165 in Merced County after noticing a traffic violation.
During the stop, officers say they could smell the marijuana coming from the truck. After getting a positive alert from CHP Canine partner, Shei, a probable cause search of the truck was conducted.
Inside, officers say they recovered approximately 350 pounds of processed black-market marijuana and $70,000 in cash.
According to CHP, the driver, who was identified as Robert Christopher Dagostino, is facing charges on suspicion of possession of marijuana for sale, transportation of marijuana across noncontiguous counties and money laundering.
