JPSO investigates Grand Isle apparent murder-suicide
GRAND ISLE, La. (WGNO) — The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating after an apparent murder-suicide occurred in Grand Isle on Tuesday morning, March 11.
According to the JPSO, around 11 a.m., the Grand Isle Police Department responded to the incident, which occurred at a home in the 2300 block of LA 1, before requesting the help of the JPSO’s Homicide Section.
The initial investigation reportedly showed that a 79-year-old man killed his 82-year-old wife before taking his own life.
The identity of the two individuals is being withheld until their next of kin have been notified.
