GE Profile Melds Tech and Intuitive Design

GE Profile’s award-winning KBIS display reflected the balance between the brain’s logical left and intuitive right hemispheres.

‘Empowering homeowners’ to control their living environments

The accent was on connected technology at the GE Appliances booth during last month’s Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) in Las Vegas, where, among other things, the company provided what it described as “an immersive look” at its Profile brand’s expansive portfolio of consumer-centric designs.

“This year, GE Profile showcased the connection between intelligence and intuitive design,” said Todd Getz, executive brand director for GE Profile and GE brands. “We believe our innovations will continue to simplify and streamline tasks and empower homeowners to control their home environment.”

Through a series of five lifestyle scenarios, the booth experience underscored what GE described as “the synergy between human intuition and advanced technology with experiences and design elements inspired by the brain.” This “interconnected architecture” explores the balance between the brain’s orderly left side and the creativity and intuition of the right side, the company explained.

The display — along with those of sister brands Café and Monogram — won Honorable Mention in the KBIS 2025 Best Booth Awards program, which recognizes outstanding exhibitor creativity.

Profile’s five lifestyle scenarios included:

Cognitive Kitchen

GE balanced function with form to create an intuitive space centered on GE Profile’s smart appliances that fit seamlessly within the connected home. On display was a new 23.2-cubic-foot smart four-door French-door refrigerator with dual-dispense autofill pitcher, which is now available in counter-depth.

Also within the Cognitive Kitchen was a new GE Profile 30-inc smart slide-in induction and convection range with preheat-free air fry and an EasyWash oven tray that allows consumers to cook smarter and clean faster, the company said. The display also spotlighted sleek solutions like the new GE Profile single wall oven with Advantium technology, which provides five cook modes and 175 pre-programmed tailored menu selections.

Grind & Brew Bar

This section featured GE Profile’s new Grind & Brew coffee maker with podless single serve; an Opal 2.0 Ultra Nugget ice maker which produces chewable, crunchable pellet ice; and a GE Profile smart compact dishwasher that can be installed on the countertop, under the sink or built-in to the cabinetry.

Laundry Re-Imagined

This hands-on, AI-fueled experience featured GE Profile’s popular UltraFast Combo with ventless heat pump technology and the brand’s new Steam Closet with fabric refresh. By requiring only a water hookup and a drain, attendees discovered how the Combo frees up space and allows numerous design possibilities beyond the limitations of a traditional laundry room.

Elemental Intelligence

In this area, GE displayed the natural stones and minerals that inspired the finishes of its latest laundry line, and described the raw traits and composition “that evoke strength, beauty and uniqueness,” the company said. Those elements were embodied by Profile’s 7.8-cubic-foot-capacity smart front load gas dryer with steam and sanitize cycle in sapphire blue; the GE Profile UltraFast Combo in carbon graphite; and the new GE Profile 955 Series front load washer, available in jade green and carbon graphite.

Whole Home Solution

The Whole Home Solution installation showcased the benefits of having all appliances connected on one system using the SmartHQ app, plus GE Profile’s whole-home advancements in residential water heating, water filtration and water treatment, including a GEOSPRING smart hybrid heat pump water heater, new GE Profile Professional Smart Valve water softeners, Smart Valve with integrated filtration and reverse osmosis under-sink tankless water filtration system.
