Food Fight to return to Lafreniere Park for fourth year

METAIRIE, La. (WGNO) — Food Fight is heading back to Metairie for another year of food, fun and competition.

Organizers said 40 restaurants will compete at this year’s event in Lafreniere Park for NOLA BOARDS trophies in five categories, including Top Traditional Dish, Top Creative Dish, Top Vegetarian Dish, Top Classic Cocktail and Top Creative Cocktail.

Competing restaurants are set to include Wonderland + Sea, Addis NOLA, Arepas Kitchen, Aroma, Atti NOLA, Bayona, Boswell’s Jamaican Cuisine, Brennan’s, Bright Side Oysters, Burger Nerds, Casita Jasmyn, Chef Chas, Crazy Johnny’s, Desi Vegas Steakhouse, Eat Crush Meals, Fat Boyz Catering, Jacquel’s Catering, Jamaican Jerk House, Los Jefes Grill, Mardi Gras School of Cooking, Maze Lounge, Namaste NOLA, NOLA X Birria, Nori Guys, Origen, Oh Boy Po Boy, Oh Chef Mac, Pablo’s a South American Taste, P-Otis Foods, Ralph’s on the Park, Ruby Slipper, The Seafood Assassin, Soule Cafe, Tracey’s, Union Ramen, Willie Mae’s NOLA and Wishing Town Bakery.

Organizers said attendees can also look forward to performances from James Andrews and the Crescent City All-Stars, Trixie Minx Burlesque, DJs and a silent disco.

A news release states that a VIP option will be available and include food from Tana, Mopho, Maypop, Seither’s Seafood and Laurel Street Bakery, as well as drinks featuring Ketel One, Casamigos and Bailey’s Irish Cream.

The event is hosted by Yeah You Right Events and benefits the PLEASE Foundation.
