SELMA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Two men were arrested following a multi-agency operation in Fresno that began as a result of a robbery in Selma, the Selma Police Department said on Wednesday.

Officers say they were investigating a robbery that occurred in Selma on October 2024. Police learned through the course of the investigation that there were people involved in trafficking and manufacturing illegal firearms.

The information was then shared with the Central Valley Gun Task Force Team, which launched a months-long investigation.

The police department reports the investigation led to the authorizing of three search warrants for a location in Fresno and two locations in Selma on Wednesday. Officers served the warrants and seized 12 firearms, four firearm suppressors, machine gun parts, several rounds of ammunition, cocaine, suspected fentanyl and money.
