Body discovered in burned vehicle in Jackson

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police are investigating after a body was discovered inside a burned vehicle.

The incident occurred on Stokes Robertson Road on Tuesday, March 4.

Detective Tommie Brown said officers responded to the scene after receiving a call about a vehicle that was fully engulfed in flames.

Once Jackson firefighters extinguished the flames, a body was discovered inside the vehicle. The body has not been identified.
