Any more severe weather on the horizon?
SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Our first round of severe weather during this young severe weather season occurred in the ArkLaTex on Tuesday morning.  As we continue to move through the month of March, it tends to get warmer.  Will we see any more severe weather anytime soon?

Our next shot at rain:  We will likely not see much rain until our next disturbance arrives on Saturday.  Temperatures on Saturday will struggle to make it to 60 degrees, so it is doubtful that we will have to worry about storms, although we will see a rather damp start to the weekend

Another strong disturbance late next week:  Some models are hinting that we could see another large upper-level disturbance move into the middle of the country by the end of next week.  Temperatures by that time will be much warmer.  Long-range ensembles show thunderstorm fuel could be rather limited.  Keep in mind that was also the case today.  It’s a bit early to worry too much about this system, but keep it on the radar.  If we have any more severe weather issues in the next few weeks, this is likely going to be our next best chance.

10-Day Forecast: Your 10-day forecast shows that once Tuesday’s storms blow through the area, we will see dry weather through Friday.  Highs most days this week will be in the 60s.  We will warm into the 70s on Friday thanks to a breezy southwesterly wind.  The weekend will begin with a chance of rain on Saturday.  Sunshine will return on Sunday and continue through most of next week.  It also looks rather warm next week with highs returning to the 70s with some low 80s possible.  Overnight lows will mainly be in the 40s and 50s. Our next best chance for a few storms could return next Friday.
